Following established standards, the organization used here is following the structure <em>Wolfgang Dierich<\/em> has lined out in his book about the units of the<em> Luftwaffe <\/em>[1. Dierich, Wolfgang (1976)]<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>See the <a title=\"Jagdflieger\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chronicles-of-the-luftwaffe.de\/?page_id=92\">Jagdflieger<\/a> section of any kind of fighter unit &#8211; day fighter units, night fighter units and destroyer units.<\/li>\n<li>If your are looking for bomber units, go to the <a title=\"Kampfflieger\" href=\"http:\/\/www.chronicles-of-the-luftwaffe.de\/?page_id=81\">Kampfflieger<\/a> section.<\/li>\n<li>Any type of reconnaissance unit as well as weather and courier flights you will find under Aufkl\u00e4rungsflieger.<\/li>\n<li>The close-to-ground units such as dive bombers, tank busters etc. can be found in Nahkampfflieger.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, any kind of transport unit is covered in Transportflieger.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Wolfgang Dierich is additionally covering SAR Sea and medical units as well as anti-aircraft units, signal units and airborne troups &#8211; all of which I have no references to on these pages.<\/p>\n<h2>Maps<\/h2>\n<p>All maps have been taken from OpenStreetMap.de &#8211; the German\u00a0 site of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.openstreetmap.org\" target=\"_blank\">OpenStreetMap<\/a>. All other rights, especially on the textual parts of this web site, remain with the web site owner.<\/p>\n<p>All Maps are to be considered &#8220;sketches&#8221; &#8211; they serve the purpose of illustration and represent the overall &#8220;big picture&#8221;.
