The Messerschmitt Me 262 of 10./NJG 11

While researching the unit history of 10./NJG 11 (see here), also known as Kommando Welter, one of the interesting questions is: which aircraft were flown by Kurt Welter and his men – when he was at Rechlin doing testing, when they were Kommando Welter and when they finally were an operational unit as 10./NJG 11.

It has been an interesting ride gathering the information I am now able to present – this is not the end of it but it serves as a solid foundation to ask other Luftwaffe enthusiasts for feedback and maybe additional material.

Personally, I have one or two more Werknummern to trace and I think adding the history of the Messerschmitt Me 262 Twinseaters (the Me 262 B-1a Trainers) to the story will help as well – but that is a work to be done.

And please look at it from a point of “work in progress” – something that I am reasonably happy with at the moment but also will update in the future (as outline above). Comments and feedback are always welcome!
